Where’s the Most Expensive Home in the World?
Believe it or not, the world’s most expensive home isn’t in the United States. Rather, it is in India. As this Forbes.com video shows, the world’s most expensive home is located in Mumbai, India and is owned by a highly wealthy family. The value: $1 billion.
Here are some specs about the home. It will be 560 feet high when complete, approximately. It will have some 400,000 square feet of interior space within, with about 50,000 feet being used for living space. In addition, the lowest floors will house some 150 to 175 cars, with a total of 27 floors in the high rise complex. There will be 9 elevators throughout it, and each floor of the expansive mansion will including a different theme, use and no two floors can contain the same materials or design.
There will be a ballroom floor, a garden level floor which is an outdoor space, an health and entertainment floor which will include a health center, yoga area and pool. The reason for this expansive space? The family simply has the money and wants it. In real estate terms, such as highly expensive home is going to be hard to sell, but if you create it to enjoy for a lifetime, who can complain?
